Strawberries with Sour Cream
Updated: Aug 11

The simplest dessert of my childhood
Some of my happiest summer memories take me back to my great-grandmother's village. She had a wonderful garden filled with apple trees, plum trees, raspberries, red and black currants, and, of course, strawberries.
When strawberry season arrived, she would make us the simplest dessert imaginable. It took only a few minutes, but to me, it tasted like summer itself.
Fresh strawberries, a little sugar, and a spoonful of sour cream.
That's all.
Even now, whenever strawberries are in season, this is one of the first desserts I make. To me, this isn't just a bowl of strawberries. It's a little reminder that the sweetest summer memories are often made from the simplest things.
