About Me

A few years ago, my daughter asked me to write down our family recipes for her.

The recipes she had grown up with. The dishes she loved and the ones that somehow always tasted just like Mom's.

I even bought a beautiful notebook. (Somehow, I could never bring myself to use it. It stayed empty.)

Then the world stopped.

During the pandemic, when businesses were closed and everyday life seemed to be on pause, I had an idea: what if, instead of writing those recipes in a notebook, I created a cookbook online?

That idea became my first food blog.

Life moved on. I went back to work, the blog slowly slipped into the background, and other things took priority. But I never stopped cooking. New dishes kept appearing on my table, and the compliments from family and friends kept coming.

Eventually, I realized that I wanted to come back to it.

But this time, I wanted to do it differently.

A Kitchen Built Around Seasons, Memories & Real Life

All Seasons On A Plate is a collection of recipes shaped by the way I cook and the way I have eaten throughout my life.

Some come from my Eastern European roots. Some are family recipes that have been passed down through generations. Some were inspired by my late husband, my daughter, friends, travels, or simply by something I found at the market and wanted to cook.

And some are recipes I made myself - sometimes because I couldn't quite find what I wanted, and sometimes simply because I was curious to see what would happen.

I have been cooking since I was very young. Long before the internet and social media, recipes came from magazines, television programs, and handwritten notebooks carefully kept by our mothers and grandmothers.

Some of those recipes are still on my table today.

Perhaps they will find their way onto yours, too.

I don't believe cooking has to be complicated to be special.

I love recipes that make you want to get into the kitchen. Sometimes they are quick and practical. Sometimes they take a little more time. Some are familiar, while others may make you stop and think, Really? Strawberries with roast beef?

Yes. Really.

What connects them is that they are made to be cooked, shared, enjoyed, and remembered.

And, of course, the seasons matter.

A basket of strawberries in June. Fresh herbs from the market. The first rhubarb of spring. Tomatoes at the height of summer. Apples when autumn arrives.

The ingredients change with the seasons, and so does the kitchen.

This website isn't about perfect pictures or complicated culinary rules.

It's about real food, family stories, seasonal ingredients, curiosity, and the simple pleasure of making something delicious.

So if that sounds like your kind of kitchen...

Welcome.

Come on in.

Pull up a chair.

There's always room at my table.

P.S.
And that recipe notebook I bought for my daughter?
It is still empty.

But don't worry - I have a plan.

And it may turn out to be much more interesting than just a notebook.
